We had our first gender reveal cookies this past weekend, and it was such an honor. This was not something I had dipped into yet, and it felt really amazing to be asked to do it. After collaborating on the taste profiles, I wanted to make a really good cookie, not just a pretty cookie. We opted to make our Sprinkle Shortbreads with a delicious filling that would make Mom happy. Opening up an ultrasound that the parents haven’t seen felt unbelievably private. How could I be holding such huge information in my hand? Like with all my baking the biggest smile came across my face when the client not only reported back the family’s happiness with the cookies, but they shared pics to prove it. It gave me insight into what hours in the bakery look like when the client experiences the work I’ve put in, making it all worth it!!
